Rapunzel – Partial Perusal

A dramatic and colorful musical version of the Rapunzel story. The low woodwinds play the witch, the high wind arpeggios describe Rapunzel’s long, streaming hair, and the horns and trumpets announce the Prince. A languid romantic theme plays the heroine’s desire for release from her tower prison. The woodwinds are particularly active throughout, especially when the witch goes berserk.
